Dr. Carla Vega

Dr. Carla Vega earned her Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Science Campus. She graduated with honors from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine in Alabama, where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Following graduation, she completed a one-year intensive medical internship at Hollywood Animal Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. Dr. Vega began her career in Texas. She proudly served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps. Since 2019, she has been practicing in Central Florida, with primary interests in preventive medicine, dental health, supporting the human-animal bond, and hospice care. Dr. Vega is Fear-Free certified and fluent in Spanish, allowing her to provide compassionate, stress-free care to pets and communicate effectively with a diverse client base. In her free time, Dr. Vega enjoys baking, cooking, and spending time with her husband, three young sons, and their family pets. Dr. Vega looks forward to providing high-quality care to pets and their families served by Graceful Paws Veterinary Clinic and mobile services.
